Tourism in Sardinia
Buddusò: a town made largely of granite in the north-west of Sardinia, a few steps from Gallura and Barbagia, on the southern border of the province of Sassari. It occupies a splendid area surrounded by greenery and scattered with prehistoric and historical remains.
Historical and geographical features
At 750 meters above sea level, Buddusò is famous above all for its white granite quarries and its territory is covered with pastures, cork oaks and dense Mediterranean scrub.
It is crossed by the Rio Mannu which flows into Lake Coghinas and by the Rio Altana which flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea.
